Chiropractic Conditions Treated
We treat a variety of conditions here at Cocoa Chiropractic Center. Conditions we treat include headaches, musculoskeletal disorders, back and neck problems, and auto accidents. Below is some more information about these conditions we treat.
Back and Neck Problems-Back and neck issues are common reasons why patients want to see a chiropractor. Pain from back and neck issues can make it hard to work and go about day to day activities. Both can be caused by injuries, poor ergonomics, and various illnesses. If you have persisting pain anywhere in your back or neck that does not go away please contact us.
Headaches-Headaches and migraines can also be treated by seeing a chiropractor. Headaches usually start with some pressure and pain near the neck or around the patient's head. Migraines are severe headaches that can severely debilitate a patient. Vision that is blurred, dizziness, nausea, sensitivity to light, fatigue, and pain around the head are all symptoms of a migraine.
Auto Accident Injuries-Auto accident injuries include back and neck injuries, bruises, broken bones, and whiplash. Whiplash is where the head is jerked quickly backward and forward during an auto accident. The effects of this injury may not be felt during the first 24 hours after the accident. Symptoms of whiplash include stiffness and pain in the neck, fatigue, numbness or pain in one arm, low back pain, headaches, dizziness, shoulder pain or pain in between the shoulder blades, and having a hard time concentrating.
Musculoskeletal Disorders-Musculoskeletal disorders include fibromyalgia, tendinitis, fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Symptoms of these disorders can be relieved with chiropractic care.
Fibromyalgia -There are no known causes to this disorder and it is usually diagnosed based on the symptoms that the patient can describe. Tendonitis is where tendons become inflamed due to overusing that part of your body. Many athletes end up with tendonitis from using tendons over and over again.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-when certain nerves in the hand have too much pressure on them, causing pain in one or both hands. Diabetes, fractures, pregnancy, and high blood pressure can cause carpal tunnel syndrome.
